A delegation of foreign consultants is scheduled to visit Pakistan to see the progress of effluent treatment plants with a view to complying with local and international environmental standards from November 17 to 23.

During their stay, they will visit the Towel Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (TMA), different industries and the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).

The foreign consultants will examine the objects of the treatment plant which include establishing baseline of environmental and effluent impact, environmental and effluent finding and recommendations, feasibility study of micro recycling plant, benchmark with Brazil (recycling/effluent plant).

The Towel Manufacturers Association of Pakistan in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC) is working on a proposal to develop effluent treatment plants with a view to complying with local and international standards.
